For the final part of my project, I printed my photographs and then printed over them with handprints on two photos and with tea and another. I also crumpled one of the images to make it look older. The idea of the shoot was to look at childhood memories and how we reflect on them therefore I changed something about each reflection to make it look as though I was looking back at a memory.
On this photos, I crumpled it to make it look as though the memory had been lost. This is effective as it creates a sense of nostalgia in the photo and will remind the viewer of their own memories and experiences from their childhood.
I stained the reflection side of this photo with tea to make it look like a memory however I did it messily as to suggest that a child had done it. I think this was effective as the photo in the reflective looks sad as they are looking down, the use of the tea adds to this making them look abandoned and alone, suggesting there is a dark side of childhood.
I hand printed over the photos to add to the theme of childhood, I think this was effective as it created a sense of messiness within the print. It will also remind the viewer of similar activities they did when they were a child.
